TOC-TOC is an annual print magazine based in Berlin. The name comes from a phonetic imitation of a knock at the door, suggesting a playful entrance to text, image, and shape. TOC-TOC brings together contributions from artists, writers, researchers, designers, thinkers, and those who work between disciplines. It approaches publishing as a way to break with the ordinary and embrace the odd. Submissions may include experimental fiction, prose, screenwriting, essays, and interviews; concrete and visual poetry; geometric abstraction; text-image works; layout-based works; typographic compositions; abstract photography, paintings, and collages; as well as hybrid and non-linear forms.
