In this workshop series, we’ll explore Climate Futures, Migration, Memory, and the Baltic Sea through food and gaming🌊. Based on our motto “all rivers lead to the sea” — our actions on land ripple outward into marine ecosystems, food systems, and future generations. Across 3 community workshops, we invite participants to play, imagine, cook, and reflect together through VR, storytelling, and food.

This accompanying talk, taking place on the evening before the exhibition opening, brings together the participating architects to reflect on their practices in a moment of transition – when rapid expansion in China has given way to a more differentiated development shaped by shifting demands and new scales of operation. Through concise inputs, they address themes such as adaptive reuse, rural transformation and new forms of spatial production.

The Boys Club will be part of @48stundennk again! In a multidisciplinary group exhibition we will explore our personal borders. Mediums: photography, painting, design, ceramics. Borders — experienced, established, crossed. This exhibition explores such from a flinta perspective. On a collective level, we ask: How do we protect, assert, and empower one another? On a personal level, we ask: How do we shape an identity, a self-image? Where do we as selves end, and where does the world begin? We must set boundaries: for our safety, our self-discovery, and our integrity. Which boundaries must we break through in order to be free?

Am 14. Juni können potentielle Studienplatzbewerber*innen ihre Arbeiten bzw. Mappen mitbringen und sich individuell beraten lassen. Bitte mindestens 15 bis 20 Arbeiten (vorzugsweise ausgedruckt) mitbringen, gern auch mehr. Die Beratung findet individuell oder in kleinen Gruppen mit zwei bis vier Personen statt, je nach Anzahl der Teilnehmer*innen. Time Slots werden vor Ort vergeben. Die Beratungsgebühr von 30 Euro wird bei Teilnahme am anschließenden Portfolio Workshop vergütet.

The Berlin University of the Arts invites you to the Rundgang - Open Days. Workshops, studios and rehearsal rooms of the colleges of Fine Arts, Architecture, Media and Design, Music and Performing Arts as well as the Jazz Institute Berlin and the Berlin Career College open their doors at the end of the academic year. From painting, sculpture, and performance to design sketches, fashion shows, and film screenings to concerts, dance, and sound installations, students will show the results and processes of their artistic work.

Department 5 | School of CULTURE + DESIGN at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences is hosting WERKSCHAU and opening its doors to culture enthusiasts and prospective students, professionals from the cultural and creative industries, alumni, all local residents, young and old alike. Ausgehend von der beispielhaften Verbindung von Kunst, Design und Lebensstil, die Godwin und Wilde kultivierten, beleuchtet die Schau die ästhetischen und gesellschaftlichen Grundlagen einer Bewegung, die über das 19. Jahrhundert hinaus wirkmächtig blieb und die Entwicklung des Designs maßgeblich beeinflusste. Erleben Sie die Eleganz und Extravaganz des viktorianischen Aesthetic Movements. Nach einer Kuratorenführung durch die Ausstellung klingt der Abend bei einem Cocktail aus – bei gutem Wetter im Freien.

Am 17. Juni gibt es in den Räumen von feldfünf einen Infotermin für alle, die sich um einen Studienplatz an einer Gestaltungshochschule bewerben wollen. Wissenswertes rund um die Bewerbungsverfahren: Abläufe, Portfolio (Mappe), Schwerpunkte, Hochschularten, Voraussetzungen, Praktika, Hausaufgaben etc. Zu diesem Termin bitte noch keine Arbeiten mitbringen, es handelt sich um einen kostenlosen Beratungstermin ohne Besprechung konkreter Mappen.

This intensive, week-long master class immerses participants in the material culture and making techniques of European medieval glass, with a particular focus on Germanic traditions. Through close study of historical drinking vessels from the Middle Ages, participants will investigate form, proportion, and construction, and actively translate these historical methods into rigorous contemporary hot-shop practice.

On 26 and 27 July, the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin will open its studios, workshops and laboratories for the ‘Rundgang – Open Days’, offering insights into the creative and research processes of emerging artists and designers across approximately 2,000 square metres of exhibition space.
