What’s Your Thing? is a conversation series introducing the people behind Berlin’s independent products, projects and creative practices. For #002, we welcome Anis Oatespilz, founder of OATES PILZ, whose practice moves between jewellery, sculpture and storytelling. Through handcrafted pieces that embrace imperfection, memory and character, her work explores identity, belonging and the stories carried through the objects we wear. In an informal Show & Tell and conversation, we’ll talk about building an independent jewellery practice, slow craftsmanship, creative process and the paths that lead to making a practice your own. Audience questions are encouraged, followed by drinks and time to meet other creatives and explore the Things showroom.

A special edition of the Berlin Collage Club (BCC) art workshops, inspired by the Taiwanese novel "Taiwan Travelogue" by author Yáng Shuāng-zǐ, which won this year's International Booker Prize. BCC is teaming up with the East Asian Arts and Culture venue P60 and Impressions Taiwan for this event. The workshop is open to everyone interested in collage — no need to have read the book to attend and get curious about Taiwan and East Asia.

BYOB Berlin III — "Plug&Play" is a one-day multimedia exhibition during Berlin New Media Week at LA18 Foundation in Berlin, organized by Pike Collective with School of Machines. Running from 12:00 to 23:00, the program includes a "Tiny Circuit Jam / Micro-Jam" workshop, projections and installations, AV live performances from 18:00 to 22:00, and a closing DJ set. BYOB, short for "Bring Your Own Beamer," is an open-format concept in which artists bring their own projectors to present their work, first staged in Berlin in 2010 by Rafaël Rozendaal and Anne de Vries.

Intro to Riso: Analogue is a hands-on introduction to analogue Risograph printing on the 15th of September from 5 to 8pm at Colorama in Berlin, where participants get to know the Risograph machine through multiple scanning modes and settings to collaboratively make two-color posters from cutouts, drawings, photographs and textures directly on the Riso scanner.

#02 Crowdfunding: Kampagneninhalte

Yukiko Design School is a six-session course run by Studio Yukiko and Colorama in Berlin, combining evening classes on the 7th, 21st and 28th of October and the 4th of November from 5 to 7.30pm with a collaborative production weekend on the 7th and 8th of November from 12 to 4pm, where participants develop their own publication exploring editorial design, sequencing and typographic storytelling before printing and binding an individual 12-page Risograph-printed publication in an edition of 25, priced at €460.

Bookbinding School is a four-session evening course at Colorama in Berlin running from 5 to 7pm on the 22nd and 29th of October and the 5th and 12th of November, where participants learn traditional bookbinding techniques step by step to design and construct their own hand-bound book from scratch, priced at €160 with a maximum of 8 participants.

Riso: Autumn Scanning is a hands-on workshop on the 25th of October from 12 to 4pm at Colorama in Berlin, where participants explore the Risograph scanner to create layered, textured prints using leaves, botanical materials and other autumnal objects directly on the scanner bed.
