the 12.12.2023 was marked with a big X in the calendar! as an association of design communities, we founded the non-profit organization BERLIN DESIGN. in order to push design to the next level and for berlin to finally live up to its title as a unesco design city, we have been working together over the last few months to develop a vision for design in berlin. in the long term, we want to bring design actors in science, business, administration and the communities together. we will create a common infrastructure in the future. as a first initiative, BDN - Berlin Design Network is focusing on the visibility of existing offers and communities and making them accessible to the public for free. in 2024, we will also launch the BDC - Berlin Design Circles to promote design excellence in Berlin at a higher level and create a place for joint exchange and discourse. reach out: contact@berlin-design.org
